Raipur :Income of more than Rs 407 crore from stamp and registration : Secretary Commerce (Registration and Stamp) chairs review meeting

 State Government's Commercial Tax Department (Stamp and Registration) Secretary Mr. Ashok Agrawal today chaired a meeting of district registrars in conference hall of Inspector General Registration and Stamp Office. Mr. Agrawal reviewed the revenue received from district-wise stamp and registration, status of registration of documents in stamp cases, court cases, e-registration, digitization and e-stamp.

It was informed in the meeting the in this fiscal year, target of Rs 1 thousand 550 crore has been set for income, against which Rs 407 crore 34 lakh nine thousand have been recovered as revenue. Registration Department has registered more than 73 thousand 368 documents.

Commercial Tax Department Secretary Mr. Agrawal directed officials during departmental review that 100% online registration facility should be ensured in all the deputy registrar offices. He also directed officials to pace up departmental works including revenue recovery. Mr. Agrawal has instructed all the district registrars to visit respective districts and get the schedule, place and date published in the newspapers, so that the news could be publicized to maximum number of people and they could get their registration cases redressed. The meeting was attended by Deputy Inspector General Registration Mrs. Reena Verma and district registrars of all the districts.
