Raipur : PM hears blind Brijlal’s flute tune : CG Kondagaon’s Brijlal gets free house under PM Awaas Yojana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today listened to the tune of flute played by a blind beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Brijlal. He is a resident of Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon district and plays flute from his nose. The prime minister also met woman beneficiary of Bada village, Panjbi. The prime minister enquired about the yojana from the two beneficiaries. Brijlal expressed his gratitude towards the prime minister for giving free of cost house to him. The Prime Minister inaugurated the birth centenary celebration of Nanaji Deshmukh at IARI at Pusa here and interacted with some innovators and beneficiaries.
He also visited an exhibition on the theme "technology and rural life." The exhibition showcases good practices and applications, as well as schemes and initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development. Chhattisgarh Panchayat and Rural Development Department Additional Chief Secretary M K Raut, Additional Commissioner Subhash Mishra, State Livelihood mission Managing Director Deepak Soni were present at the function. Exhibitions of Punjab and Chhattisgarh were showcased under the Pradhan Mantri Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana during the occasion. Jorandajharia gram of Jashpur district was showcased and female representative of the gram Kuleshwari Akka represented the gram and displayed the criteria under which the gram has become ‘Adarsh gram’. Over 400 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas and Ajiwika mission’ from Chhattisgarh participated in the function.
