Raipur : Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Odisha artistes enthrall audience with superlative cultural programmes

The artistes of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Odisha performed spectacular and colourful cultural programmes which captivated the attention of the large audience as a part of 'Rajyotsav-2017' at the Pandit Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Industrial premises here. The school and College students performed Bastar folk dances, Chinhari Lok Manch, Rocker band which enthralled the people. The State's students performed 'Suha' dances, Karma, Dadaria and other folk singers which spell bound the citizens. Padmasri awardee legendary Chhattisgarh folk artiste Mrs. Mamta Shankar presented 'Sumdhur' folk songs based on local culture and art which was very appealing to the gathering. 'Rocker Band' captivated the attention of youth. The artistes from Bastar performed Gourmadiya, Abhujmadia and Kaksar dances. Price Dance Musical of Odisha and light and sound programme based on Chhattisgarh 'Vikas gatha' also attracted the audience. There will many more cultural programmes on the fourth day on 4 November also. The artistes from Surguja will perform 'Shoula' and 'Karma' dances. Raipur-based Padmasree awardee G.C.D. Bharti Bandhu will perform Kabir Gaayan.
