Raipur : Two-day tribal festival in capital city Raipur : Chief Minister to inaugurate on December 10
Union Ministers, State Government's Ministers and other senior public representatives to attend the inaugural programme
Tribal Literature Festival and folk dance of north-east states to be the major attractions of the event

State Government's Tribal Caste and Scheduled Caste Development Department is going to organize a two-day Tribal Festival in capital city Raipur on December 10, on the martyrdom day of freedom fighter and great revolutionary of Chhattisgarh Shaheed Veernarayan Singh. Department Officials informed that Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will inaugurate this Tribal Festival on December 10, 3pm at Government Science College Ground, near GE road, as Chief Guest of the programme. Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Mr. Juel Uraun will preside over the programme. Closing ceremony of the programme will be organized on December 11 at 5pm. Union Minister of Steel for State Mr. Vishnudev Sai will be the Chief Guest of concluding programme of the event.
During the event, a two-day tribal literature festival will be organized at Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium. In addition, cultural troupes of northeast states will stage their regional folk dances such as bihu dance, hojgiri of Tripura, cherav dance of Mizoram, and other folk dances of Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. In the inaugural programme to be held on December 10, Chairman of National Scheduled Tribe Commission Mr. Nandkumar Sai, Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Gaurishankar Agrawal will be present as special guests of the occasion. School Education Minister, Tribal Caste and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Mr. Kedar Kashuam, Home Jail and PHE Minister Mr. Ramsevak Paikra, Urban Administration and Development Minister Mr. Amar Agrawal, Revenue and Higher Education Minister Mr. Premprakash Pandey, Food and Gramodyog Minister Mr. Punnulal Mohile, PWD Housing and Environment Minister Rajesh Moonat, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Mrs. Ramsheela Sahu, Culture Tourism and Cooperatives Minister Mr. Dayaldas Baghel, Forest and Law Minister Mr. Mahesh Gagda, Sports and Your Welfare Minister Mr. Bhaiyalal Rajwade will attend the programme as Guests of Honour. The inaugural programme will also be attended by Member of Rajya Sabha Mr. Ramvichar Netam, Members of Lok Sabha Mr. Dinesh Kashyap, Mr. Vikram Ussendi, Mr. Kamal Bhan Singh, Chairman of State Scheduled Tribe Commission Mr. GR Rana, Vice-Chairman of Sarguja and North Area Tribal Development Authority Mr. Rajsharan Bhagat, Bastar and North Area Tribal Development Authority Vice-Chairman Mr. Bhojraj Nag, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Govardhan Singh Manjhi, Mr. Ambesh Jangade, Mr. Shivshankar Paikra, Mrs. Suneeti Rathiya, Mrs. Champa Devi Pavle and Chairman of State Civil Supply Corporation Ms Lata Ussendi as special guests of the occasion. The closing programme to be held on December 11 will be presided over by School Education and Tribal Caste Development Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, and Chairman of National Scheduled Tribe Commission Mr. Nandkumar Sai, ministers of State Government will attend the programme as guests of honour.
