Raipur : 560 Oxygen equipped beds to be facilitated in Raipur for COVID patients soon

A major relief for COVID patients, on Chief Minister Mr. Baghel’s initiative

On instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, 560 oxygen-cylinder-equipped beds are being arranged for COVID patients of the state. This includes 100 beds to be facilitated in Lalpur Hospital of Raipur, 400 beds in Ayurvedic Hospital and 60 beds in ESIC Hospital.
     Officials of the health department said that oxygen cylinders have also been arranged at the indoor stadium. With facilitation of aforementioned beds with oxygen cylinders, a total number of beds available for COVID patients would reach 30 thousand 270. It is noteworthy that presently Chhattisgarh has total 29 COVID Hospitals and 186 COVID Care Centers. There are 3551 beds available in these hospitals and 25560 beds in Covid Care Center. COVID treatment facility is also available in 19 private hospitals of the state. Total 1304 beds are available for COVID patients in these private hospitals. COVID hospitals have 2775 General, 406 ICU and 370 HDU beds.
    In view of the increasing number of COVID cases, the department has started increasing the number of beds in hospitals, also training of physicians has also been started from March. There were 54 ICU beds in March, which was increased to 406 in June. HDU High Dependency Beds were not available in March, but by May it was increased to 100, and 370 in August. The number of general beds in March was only 446, which was increased to 28335 in August which. Likewise, in March, 500 beds were available in the state, and by August it was increased to 30270.
