Government Higher Secondary School, Madpal is recognized today as a fully equipped educational institution of excellence in Bastar district. Hearing about this school, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, during his two-day stay in Bastar, today visited this school of village Madpal in Jagdalpur block. During this visit, he inaugurated  renovation work done at the cost of Rs 68 lakh and construction of an additional room at a cost of Rs 31 lakh in this school.

  Smart classes, computers, laboratories equipped with modern equipment, library facilities for children in government schools in rural areas seem far-fetched, at such times, Government Higher Secondary School in  Madpal village  equipped with modern facilities for teaching-learning for the children of tribal areas of Bastar is no less than a boon. The children of this school are doing new experiments of science in the school laboratory. Phulodevi Netam, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Rekhchand Jain, MLA Kondagaon Shri Mohan Markam, Bijapur MLA Shri Vikram Mandavi, MLA Chitrakot Shri Rajman  Benzam, Sarpanch Mrs. Vandana Nag, Collector Mr. Rajat Bansal and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Jitendra Meena were also present.

 While visiting this school, Chief Minister praised the innovations being done there, excellent facilities for teaching-learning. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, while visiting the various classrooms, laboratory and library of the school, interacted with the children and asked them about their studies. He appreciated the district administration, school education department, school principal and the school staff for the facilities provided in the school.

 During his interaction with the students, the Chief Minister asked them to make maximum use of the facilities available in the school. The Chief Minister reached class X of the school and interacted with the children. He explained the concept of culture to the children. Chief Minister said that our culture is our identity. Our culture is the combined concept of our customs, colloquialism, language, way of life, art, tradition, belief, faith, value of life and architecture. We represent our culture. He said that Chhattisgarh and Bastar have their own cultural identity. He gave detailed information about the personality and work of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh. On being asked by Chief Minister, a student of class X, Gayatri Singh, read out from her book the text with the title "Chhattisgarh Environment - Art, Culture and Personality".

Children had made useful models on topics such as division of mathematics, concept of multiplication, measurement of distances, narva, garuva, ghurva and bari, drip irrigation, water recycling, environmental protection.  According to the wishes of the State Government, under the continuous guidance of Collector Rajat Bansal and with the special efforts of the Education Department, Government Higher Secondary School, Madpal has today become a fully equipped educational institution of excellence in Bastar district.  Due to the construction of clean, beautiful and convenient school building and availability of necessary resources and conducive educational environment like modern lab and library along with qualified and committed teachers, today this school can compete with the reputed private schools in terms of quality and availability of resources. Due to proper arrangement of resources and teaching-learning in this school, poor children of rural environment are getting quality education in a conducive educational environment in a remote village school like Madpal.

 At present, Pre-Secondary School and Higher Secondary School are running in this excellent school premises of Madpal. In which a total of 562 children are studying in classes from class 6th to 12th including 123 in Pre-Secondary School and 439 in Higher Secondary School. This entire school campus has been decorated in a very beautiful and attractive form. There are a total of 16 rooms in this school, in which apart from the study room with the necessary facilities, the principal, office and staff and store rooms have also been made. Modern biology, physical and chemical laboratory and Atal Tinkering Lab have also been established in the school as per the present times and knowledge of science.  Apart from this, 1-1 smart class with all facilities, library and sports room have also been constructed in the school.  Along with proper electrical system, computer, printer, LCD projector set, OHP and drinking water, separate toilets for boys and girls etc. and proper arrangement of facilities such as furniture etc are  also available in sufficient quantity in the school.

 Along with this, cultural platform, garden with lush green trees and plants, nutrition garden and cycle stand for the students have been constructed in the school premises.  In this way, this school has been equipped with all facilities for teaching-learning.  The excellent system of Madpal Vidyalaya has proved that even in government schools located in our villages, by providing proper resources, qualified teachers and necessary facilities, a model school can be made by taking these schools.  In fact, the innovations made in Madpal School are a very commendable effort of the State Government and District Administration to provide conducive educational environment and quality education to the rural children in their villages and nearby schools.  During the inspection of the smart class of the school, student Savitri Manjhi thanked Chief Minister Mr. Baghel for providing all kinds of modern education facilities in the school.
