In Chhattisgarh, not only minor forest produce is being collected, but many types of herbal medicines and products are being prepared by processing them.  These works are also providing employment to youth and women self-help groups. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and Mr. Sachin Rao today inspected the herbal product sales center Sanjeevani at GE Road near Collectorate of  capital Raipur. He inquired about the marketing and sale of about 120 types of herbal products prepared from the processing units in these centres.

 The Chief Minister informed during the inspection that the marketing and sale of these products from Chhattisgarh herbal brand is being done by Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Federation through Chhattisgarh Herbal Sanjeevani Sales Center in Raipur. Major products manufactured through self-help groups of various forest divisions, district unions of the state are being sold here. This has given a boost to the marketing and sale of forest products of Chhattisgarh. He said that after the establishment of processing units, the income of the local people has increased. Arrangements have been made for sale on  e-commerce platform to provide market across the country for the finished products from women groups.

 It is worth mentioning that Sanjeevani selling centers include major products manufactured from different districts of the state such as cashew nut, Chirouji, Mahua oil of Jagdalpur district, Tikhur of Kondagaon district, Tamarind Chapati, Phool Broom from Narayanpur and Mahua Laddu of Kanker. Similarly, honey of Bhanupratappur district, Sarv Jwar Har Churna of Gariaband district and Jamun juice of Balodabazar, Amla candy and other products are included. Similarly honey of Bilaspur district, shatawari powder of Katghora, Ashwagandha powder, white musli powder of Marwahi district, Chyawanprash of Jashpur district, sanitizer, Mahua skas of Rajnandgaon district, honey of Kawardha district , Mahua chutney of Balod district, Mahua pickle products etc.  are also included.

  On this occasion Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, Urban Administration Minister Shri Shiv Dahriya, Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Ejaz Dhebar, MLAs Shri Devendra Yadav and Kuldeep Juneja, other public representatives, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subrata Sahoo, Special Secretary Agriculture Dr.  Bharathidasan, Collector Raipur Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur Mr. Prabhat Malik, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Raipur Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi and senior administrative officers were present.
