Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inspected Dai-Didi Clinic and Shri Dhanwantari Generic Medical Store scheme run by Urban Administration and Development Department. On this occasion Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, Urban Administration Minister Shri Shiv Kumar Dahriya, Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, MLA and Chairman of Chhattisgarh Housing Board Shri Kuldeep Juneja, Mayor Shri Ejaz Dhebar and Shri Sachin Rao were also with them.
During the inspection, Dr. Tripti Panigrahi, working in the mobile medical unit operating under Dai-Didi Clinic scheme, said that the purpose of this scheme is to provide medical facilities to the slum and such urban population, who do not have access to hospitals. This is a unit for women wholly run by women employees, from which women are able to get better health benefits without any hesitation. He said that so far 16 thousand 491 patients have been provided treatment through 266 camps in this mobile unit. 41 types of medical tests are available in this unit, so far 3 thousand 846 tests have been done.
The Chief Minister also visited the Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store which is going to be started at Subhash Stadium Complex. During this visit, it was informed that under the scheme, 59 medical stores would be opened in the state on October 20. Medicines will be sold to the citizens from these medical stores at a discount of at least 50 percent and maximum of 71 percent. Under the scheme 190 medical stores are planned to be started in 169 cities. It will be mandatory to sell 251 types of generic medicines and 27 surgical products in these medical stores. Apart from this, the products of Sanjivani of the Forest Department, beauty products and baby food etc. will also be sold.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahoo, Special Secretary, Agriculture Department, Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Collector Raipur Mr Saurabh Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Prashant Agarwal and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur Prabhat Malik and other senior administrative officers were present.
